Manchester United haven’t seen the best of many players this season.
They had problems with injuries to Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw and Amado Diallo.
Some of the likes of Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund have also suffered from injuries this season.
Mason Mount is another player who hasn’t yet shown his best at Man United since joining the Chelsea club.
Signed by former manager Erik Ten Hag, Mount spent a lot of time on the sidelines with fitness issues, but even after he was healthy he was unable to deliver the expected performance from him.
While questions have been raised about his long-term future at Old Trafford, journalist David Ornstein has denounced all reports linking the British midfielder with his move away from Manchester.
Mount, who earns £250,000 a week with United (via Capology), doesn’t go anywhere, according to athletic journalist Ornstein.
He said: “You’ll never know in this industry, but I don’t expect Mount to leave. Man United believes he has great system and style in manager Amorim, so we’ll focus on getting him to fit and make the most of him.
“I don’t offer United the fees they need to generate the accounting profits that are especially concerned about his injury record. I don’t think he’s going anywhere.”
Mason Mount still has a future with Man United
Until the end of this season, Mount could be impressed by Reuben Amorim.
This is an important time for the midfielders who currently have to appear in clubs and in the face.
The midfielder is a versatile player who can play in offensive and midfield roles.
He joined the Red Devils with high hopes, but his time at Old Trafford was heavily affected by his injuries.
The Premier League Giants are still expected to invest in new midfielders, with Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton being the player they’re targeting.
