Lewis Hamilton continued his tradition of taking bowling for Formula One teams in Japan.

After practice at Suzuka on Friday, Hamilton and the entire trackside Ferrari team went bowling.

It is a tradition that Hamilton has repeated over the years with McLaren and Mercedes.

Hamilton is a new colour, but some things haven’t changed.

Hamilton was portrayed alongside teammate Charles Leclerc as he enjoyed downtime ahead of qualifying.

Judging from photos posted by Ferrari’s social team, Hamilton had a decisive advantage over bowling alley Leclair.

Hamilton scored 165 points in his latest game. This is over 68 points Leclerc scored.

Hamilton and Ferrari hope to continue this good feeling for the rest of the weekend in Suzuka.

However, ahead of Saturday’s qualifying, Ferrari appears to have the third fastest car behind McLaren and Mercedes.

Leclerc set the fourth fastest time in final practice, with Hamilton in sixth place.

Overall, this year was a passionate start for Ferrari, scoring just 17 points in the opening two rounds.

They are behind Williams in the ranking regarding the F1 constructor’s countback after a double disqualification at the Chinese Grand Prix.
