“Not enough” – Critics after the Manchester Derby slam the Man United star hard

Former footballer Carlton Palmer has expressed skepticism about Patrick Dolg’s potential at Manchester United.

The defender, signed in the winter transfer window, was active for the Red Devils against Manchester City on Sunday.

It was another volatile performance from a defender who appears to be struggling with United after a move from Serie A.

Speaking at Stadium Astro, Palmer said:

“It’s not enough, it’s definitely not enough.

“He’s 20, 20, do you think he can grow into a good person?” the host asked.

“From what I saw. No. Hearing, we played on the first team at a young age. We came as young players, he is an international football player. Drogba was slow to start in the Premier League, but you saw him and thought he had something. Palmer said.

“He has to be given time, but he won’t see it within three or four years.”

Although Dorgu’s performance had drawbacks, it is essential to consider the age and duration of adaptation required when transitioning to a Man United club.

Early judgments may overlook the potential growth and development that young players like Dorgu can achieve along with time and proper coaching.

Even the experienced Old Trafford player struggles under Reuben Amorim and his different systems and formations.

Dolg deserves to be given the right amount of time, and it is never wise to write off a 20-year-old player.

Palmer’s ratings may be rooted in high expectations, but amortizing a 20-year-old after only a handful of appearances is far too tough.

Like Palmer, Gary Neville criticizes some of his players after his performance in the Manchester Derby.
