The Glasgow Rangers need a huge summer to help them bounce back and be competitive in Scotland, including the 2025/26 campaign.
As they are on the course that ends the year without a trophy showing their efforts, there is no way to describe their current domestic campaign as anything other than disappointment.
The board decided to say goodbye to Philip Clement, replacing him with Barry Ferguson’s interim appointment until the end of the season.
The Rangers lost two of their last four Scottish premiership matches under the former Scotland International. He didn’t do much to suggest that beating Fenerbafs on a penalty would be permanently worthy of work after a 2-0 defeat at Ibrox.
The agreement between US investor Andrew Cavena and the San Francisco 49ers was reportedly agreed in principle prior to the acquisition this summer.
The play staff may have turnovers as the Rangers are trying to build a team that can compete for titles, but one player to remain at Ibrox is central midfielder Nicholas Ruskin.
Why Rangers Should Protect Nicholas Ruskin?
Earlier this year, TeamTalk reported that several teams were monitoring Belgian International ahead of the summer transfer window, which was impressed by his form this season.
The outlet claimed that both British side Aston Villa and Leeds United in this quarter’s Champions League are keen on the former Standard Leeds Juster, who is said to be valued at £20 million by GERS.
When the acquisition is confirmed, the Rangers must do everything in their power to dodge interest from the South, in order to persuade the Belgian dynamo to stay at Ibrox, as he is a key player in the team moving forward.
Raskin delivered a consistently impressive performance in the middle of the park as a box-to-box midfield player starring both Clement and Ferguson at this semester premiere.

As you can see from the table above, the 24-year-old star, signed by Michael Beale in early 2023, is a defensive monster for GERS, earning most of his duels, making four tackles and intercepts per game.
The Belgian talent was also a metronomic figure of the ball with his high passing success rate, providing quality, supporting six goals.
Despite all this, Ruskin will appear in 10th place on wage bills, not one of the Rangers’ top-top winners in the 2024/25 campaign.
Rangers’ Top 10 Earners
The former professional league starlet is only in the top 10, earning £2k a week, ninth over Captain James Tavernier at the top of the wage bill, earning 11k a week, earning £2k a week, ninth over Captain James Tavernier.
This is more than the many players currently making more money on Ibrox, despite Raskin being more essential to the Premiership Rangers team.

The new ownership should aim to mercilessly throw away some of the guys who are one of the club’s top winners, despite not contributing much to the pitch. So the Rangers have to move on from Danilo this summer.
Why Rangers Should Sellers Sell Danilo?
The Light Blues swooped down and signed the Brazilian forward from Feynord in the summer of 2023, with a reported £6 million price, attempting to bolster options at the top of the pitch.
So far, Danilo has scored 12 goals and nine assists in 42 matches in all competitions, far from the horrifying return in front of goals, but he has failed to establish himself as Ibrox’s regular starter.
Part of that has been dependent on his consistent injury issues. The 26-year-old forward has missed an astounding 53 games through injuries since the start of the 2023/24 campaign.
This has previously hampered his Rangers career and joined him, who only started 11 games in the Premiership during his time at Ibrox.
His minutes’ shortage and contributions on the pitch for almost two years in Glasgow have plunged his market value by millions over the past 18 months or so.

Evaluation through the relocation market |
As you can see in the table above, Brazilian centre forwards are currently £2.6 million less than the £6 million fee that the Gers paid Feyenord in the summer of 2023.
He is a depreciable asset that he offers little in return for his wages he earns at Ibrox. So the club must ruthlessly abandon him during the summer transfer period.
