Pristow, New Hampshire – Mauricio Raffy is at UFC 314 to support Jean Silva, but he brings gloves.
Ruffy (12-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC), a Knockout of the Year candidate for King Green at UFC 313 in March, is looking at the upcoming Dariush at UFC 317’s International Fight Week.
He turns to Saturday’s joint main event (ESPN+Pay-per-view) between Michael Chandler (23-9 MMA, 2-4 UFC) and Paddy Pinblett (22-3 MMA, 6-0 UFC) at Kaya Center in Miami.
“I’m definitely going to be there,” Raffy told MMA Junkie through an interpreter at UFC 314. “I’m going over there, I’m going to be there for a fight. That’s one of the reasons I came here to come here for my teammates. But the other thing, I’m ready to go.
Ruffy’s teammate Silva has a great opportunity against Bryce Mitchell, a candidate ranked on the UFC 314 main card. Two weeks later, his other teammate, Carlos Prato, will face Ian Machado Garry in the UFC with ESPN 66 headliner.
“Jean Silva will implement and implement his game,” Raffy said. “He’s going to get offensive and play his game, he’s just trying to do what he’s trying to do. We’ve put a lot of sweat, tears and blood in this game.
“We work hard, we do our own thing, and now Carlos Pleetz has this huge opportunity for Ian Garry, so we’re here to show it.
