Man United replaces the struggling £60 million PL goalkeeper to Andre Onana

Every week, it becomes increasingly clear that there is a need for a new goalkeeper at Manchester United.

Since joining the club, Andre Onana has not found consistency and has made a high-profile error that caused the Red Devils humiliation in the Premier and Champions Leagues.

Onana’s latest performance proved that Reuben Amorim’s side refused a significant victory in the Europa League and that Lyon midfielder Nemanja Matic had said about him.

Onana, who played for Lyon in the quarterfinals of the Europa League, created two blunt instruments to pass a 2-2 draw to the home side.

This was a pattern that continued with the club whenever Onana played, and now he was forced to look for a new goalkeeper.

According to Gazetta Dello Sport, Man United reportedly began contacting Brighton & Hove Albion about goalkeeper Bad Werburgen’s potential summer transfer, as relayed by sports witnesses.

Verbruggen, a 22-year-old Dutch international, has been impressed with Brighton this season, making 33 appearances and maintaining eight clean sheets.

His performances have attracted interest from several top clubs, including Bayern Munich and AC Milan.

Brighton reportedly values Verbruggen at around £60 million, a significant increase from the £17 million he paid to sign him in 2023 from Anderlecht.

It’s time for the Red Devils to change to goalkeeping position. Onana has been given plenty of time and opportunity, and his performance still shows no signs of improvement.

He can’t be trusted with back ads. His goalkeeper peep is not only problematic, but he finds his decisions in critical situations to be amateur and surprisingly poor.

Onana is one of several players signed by former manager Eric Ten Hag, who had no impact at the club.

Amorim is calling for improvements from his players, especially Kobbie Mainoo and Joshua Zirkzee.

Trade: Man United has been cleared to sign 24 g/a demon for just £51 million
