Sunrisers Hyderabad’s devastating opener Travis Head was delighted after his team finished on the winning side, claiming it was a significant and much-needed victory for the team, bringing four consecutive losses in the ongoing IPL 2025.
On Saturday, April 13th, Sunrise’s Hyderabad retracted a sensational eight-wicket victory over the Punjab Kings (PSBK) in the 27th match of IPL 2025 ongoing at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, to make an astonishing comeback in the tournament.
Riding 66 glorious knocks from Head, 37 balls and Abhishek Sharma’s 141 innings ran from 55 balls, with SRH taking eight balls with a record target of 246 runs within 19 overs, jumping to the eighth spot in the IPL 2025 points table.

After an excellent comeback from SRH, the Australian swashbacking batter admitted that the situation was tough in the middle stages, but continued to be patient early in his pursuit against the King of Punjab. Head said Hyderabad has clear ideas about the strategy used by PBK, so he took the time to start and increased his pace on Saturday to chase the record target.

Travis Head further explained:. It’s about encouraging each other, choosing a target, setting the stage. I’ve seen a 270-280 score on that wicketE’ve played with a slightly different wicket, but no. 2 appears to have a big score. Everything had to go right in order for us to chase the 240. ”
Meanwhile, Head was involved in a fierce exchange between his Australian teammates and Punjab kings Glen Maxwell and Marcus Stonis during his match in Hyderabad. The fever on the field began in ninth when he destroyed two Big Sixes from Maxwell.

Maxwell tried to outmart him and bowled a faster ball than his head hit him straight. Maxwell immediately threw it towards the wicketkeeper, but it didn’t work out well with the SRH opener. Head then had Maxwell and some animated words, but things got tense when Stonis joined, but the SRH star brushed him aside when the judge stepped in to calm things down.
However, Travis Head downplayed the incident after the match, saying it was a friendly joke between Glen Maxwell and Marcus Stonis. He insisted that the exchange was not serious and that everything would go well between them.
“It’s all fun,” Travis Head said, “I think it brings each other the best and the worst when you know each other well and play with each other. Yeah, a friendly joke between us. It was a bit of a joke.
