Man United certainly aims to sign a new striker this summer, and at this stage it is reported that they have some names on their list of nominees. Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyoker are two highly linked players, but as an upgrade to the current options Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, you can instead seek someone close to the house.
One of the players Man United linked to is Liam Dellup, who was impressed by Ipswich. The former Manchester City striker has 12 goals in the Premier League, attracting something like Arsenal.
Liam Dellup has emerged as a key target for Man United
And now former scout Mick Brown has confirmed with Football Insider that Man United is actually one of the clubs interested in signing Dellup.
“Liam Dellup is something I know Man United is watching, they have a connection with Kieran McKenna in Ipswich.
“It’s certainly something we’re keeping an eye on. I think they’re clear about the possibility that they might go for him and are already exploring that possibility. Reuben Amorim wants to sign a new striker, and he’s proven he can do that in the Premier League.
“We’re talking about all these names, but they’re all different types of players. Delap is a totally different player from Gyoker and a different player from Osimhen, so he’s two of the next type of players on the list.
