Golden State Warriors star Jonathan Kuminga is facing the biggest test of his short career to date.

Drafted on the seventh pick of the 2021 NBA Draft, the Golden State Warriors have high hopes for Jonathan Kuminga.

It was not an easy success at all. And in the key “wins and regular season games to win a playoff spot in the ‘regular season’, Jonathan Kuminga was the DNP that manager Steve Kerr had.

Kerr said he felt the game didn’t want Kuminga. It was a terrible verdict from a coach who recently suggested that Kuminga really doesn’t suit his new look attack with Jimmy Butler.

The Warriors lost the game to the Clippers 124-119. This means they’re falling into a play-in tournament and facing the Memphis Grizzlies in a seven-seed matchup.

With a short turnaround matchup coming soon and Butler dealing with minor injuries, there’s a good chance Kuminga will face Memphis.

Teammate Stephen Curry urged Cuminga to be proactive and ready to be sought.

And it seemed that Kuminga had already had this advice on board.

Following the loss of the Warriors’ home, Kuminga was found practicing alone and taking shots in court.

The video, shared via Dieter Kurtenbach’s detailed Kuminga, was “gaining shots after the game.”

This is a positive sign and you will love Kuminga to your coaching staff. This is far better than jumping out of the arena in rage. He is determined to bounce back.

The second consecutive DNP would be Jonathan Kuminga’s even worse accusations.

But given the desperate situation and the need for fresh legs for the Warriors, we’ll hope Steve Kerr will mix it up.

Warriors legend Chris Marin suggested that Kerr might have been mistaken for losing to the Clippers, missing out on some of the athleticism Kuminga brings to his team.

Festus Ezeli believes they need Cuminga if they intend to run in the playoffs, and he has plenty of motivation to grab the moment against the Grizzlies if given the opportunity.
