Arsenal expert Charles Watts spoke exclusively Catch off side About the potential changes we can see in the Gunners’ defense this summer.
Written only in his latest daily briefing column, Watts explained that Bournemouth defender Dean Huyssen should be seeing it in the market this summer.
The talented Young Spain International is likely to be on the move, and Arsenal appears to be one of his main admirers.
Watts feels that Huyssen could be the “ideal candidate” to come to Mikel Arteta’s team, but that’s only if Jakub Kiwior leaves Emirates Stadium.
But while Watts seems likely to leave for Kiwiall, Polish International certainly shows that they can’t start the game regularly after performing very well on both feet against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Will Dean Huysen go to Arsenal to replace Jakub Kiwior?
“Dean Huyssen will be one of the big stories in the transfer window going forward,” Watts said.
“He’s tied to many clubs, including Arsenal. Athletics’ David Ornstein confirms Arsenal’s interest in a young Spanish centre-back.
“But when I see what happens at Huijsen, I think Arsenal is in a position to really cement him before the rival club moves.
“I think it needs to be a lot of defensive for that to happen. And given the level of interest the club has for him from elsewhere and Bournemouth’s desire to quickly resolve the defender’s future, I don’t know if the club will really push Huissen.”
He added:
“His performance on two feet against Madrid shows off his quality and he may be open to going to the end of the season.
“When that happens and the right offer comes, he needs to be replaced and the talented Huissen will be the ideal candidate.”
