Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta suggests that Riccardo Calfioli appears to be in time for the Champions League semi-final tie vs Paris Saint-Germain.

The Gunners won a memorable victory over Real Madrid in the quarterfinals, winning 5-1 in aggregation against European champions.

PSG is on the way ahead of Arsenal and is now in excellent form, so it could be a tougher test, so it would be useful if a key player like Calafiori came back.

Italian International can still play a key role this season as they are a versatile defender who can offer Arteta options at centre-back or left-back.

Discussing his comeback from the injury, Arteta said this, according to journalist Simon Collings…

“If everything goes well, I think it will – maybe a little earlier. Let’s take a look,” Arteta said when asked about Calafiori returning to PSG.

“He’s already on the pitch. He’s doing quite a lot, so when he comes back you have to take the right steps. He’s in a good place to play.”

Can Arsenal go all the way to the Champions League?

It was a difficult and frustrating season for Arsenal in the Premier League, and injuries have disrupted their progress significantly.

In contrast, Liverpool had to do it without the most important players at any point, especially for a long time, with the exception of recent Trent Alexander Arnold.

Arsenal is currently out of Kai Herberts, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Magalges, but Bukayo Saka misses most of the campaign, with others like Calfioli and Ben White spending a lot of time on the sidelines too.

If Arsenal’s luck can look towards the end of the campaign, they can ultimately win the Champions League.

The North London giant was fantastic with both feet against Real Madrid, even with midfielder Mikel Merino playing in advance with holes in his shoes and Jakubu Kiwior buried for defense for Gabriel.

The AFC hopes not to lose others in the coming weeks, and Calafiori’s return could certainly be useful for tough opponents like PSG.
