Manchester United are keeping an eye on Atalanta striker Mateo Retschy and they could see them make a move for him at the end of the season.
According to a report by Quotidiano Sportivo, Manchester United scouted players over the weekend. It will be interesting to see if you follow up your interest with official offers signing players. The striker has been exceptional for his club and the country in recent months, with him making 32 target contributions in all competitions.
He is hailed as a “fatal” striker by Luciano Spalletti. Meanwhile, the players are also linked to Arsenal.
The 25-year-old is still relatively young and has been able to improve even further through coaching and experience. He could have evolved into Manchester United’s top player if Manchester United could make a deal. The striker is reportedly valued at €60 million, and Manchester United certainly has the finances to get the deal done.
Man United could use Mateo Retschui
It’s no secret that they need to bring in quality strikers in the summer. Joshua Zilkie and Rasmus Hojlund were unable to live up to expectations, and Manchester United looked toothless in their offense this season. If they are serious about fighting for major trophies, they need to bring an upgrade.
Retegui has the physicality and technical attributes to get along well in the UK, and he could become a key player for Manchester United. The opportunity to move into the Premier League is also extremely exciting for players. It is a big step in his career, and he aims to fight for the trophy against the Red Devils. They are one of the largest clubs in the world, and the opportunity to join them can be difficult for most players to refuse.
