Draymond Green was one of three finalists for the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award.
However, the winner was Evan Mobley of the Cleveland Cavaliers. He lifted the 23-year-old trophy just days after his teammate had a sarcasmy comment, a subtle bargain at Draymond Green.
The Golden State Warriors player has previously won awards and was a nominee on multiple occasions, but this year they looked very close to winning again as the team revived after the All-Star break.
Green also made the claims “The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis.” It served in the top three, but he still only managed 15 votes, but he came in third behind Mobley and Atlanta Hawks’ Dyson Daniels.
Just a day after missing out on the prestigious DPoy honor, Green was announced as the recipient of the NBA Hustle Award.
However, fans found a way to chuckle the four-time NBA champions after being officially announced as the award winner.
NBA fans were already unhappy with the DPOY Awards green campaign.
OKC Thunder player Isaiah Hartenstein said he will launch a podcast on a campaign to make Lu Dort become DPoy.
All of that frustration from fans was expressed in the form of comments after it was announced as a Hustle Award winner.
One fan said: “Charity dpoy”
Another thing was added, but “NGL feels like an award given to a guy who is no longer enough to do so many other things.”
Fans also fired shots on the green by fouling his history and receiving his skills.

Many fans called it the DPOY Trophy participation prize.
“Lol, I see the participation prize,” the fans said.
Another said: “He didn’t get the DPoy so the comfort award.”
He missed the DPOY award, but Green was undoubtedly the Warriors’ defensive anchor this season.
He was a great defensive player, but the entire team struggled at the edge of the floor until Jimmy Butler arrived.
The 35-year-old was injured after awkwardly landing on the floor in Game 2 against the Houston Rockets.
Butler is likely to go out for the next few games, and when he’s gone, Green will have to step up to the defensive side.
Without a doubt, he needs to contribute to the offensive end as well, but Steph Curry can put a little load on it, like in the past.
The series is 1-1 and you can go anywhere, but the advantage of dub is that you have two games at home:
Green had been in this situation before, where he had to lock his defenses himself, so he did it well.
The Rockets are a solid team, but they are still young and have the perfect mix of youth and experience, so it’s never easy to stand up to dubs.
