Liverpool striker Darwin Nunes has been linked to moves that have left the club over the past few months.

The 25-year-old struggles with regular game times for Premier League clubs, and his performances are overwhelming. Players have contributed 14 goals in all competitions. Liverpool was hoping for more when he paid a fair amount to sign him from Benfica.

Recently, there were rumours that Liverpool would have to pay £5 million to the Portuguese club if the strikers started another game for them. However, manager Arne Slot has clearly rubbed a report claiming there is no such provision in the striker’s contract.

The Liverpool striker has already struggled to start regularly for his team, and he has exacerbated his own problems with now-deleted social media posts.

Nunez previously shared a post on X, saying, “No wonder, I didn’t play any more. The last game I started in the Premier League worked well…”

The striker probably hints at the rumour clause in his contract, suggesting that Liverpool hasn’t given him the start because he doesn’t want to pay Benfica for the extra money. Social media posts can exacerbate Liverpool players’ issues by ensuring that slots do not have classes.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops. It’s fair to assume that his future at Liverpool looks shattered right now.

Strikers need to go ahead and join the club to get regular opportunities. Liverpool should reduce overwhelming performer losses and bring an upgrade in the summer.
