Arsenal is reportedly planning to offer up to 80 million euros this summer to win the race for the signature of the Sports Lisbon goal machine Viktor Gyokeres.

It is likely that Swedish International is a person in demand after making an astounding total of 55 target contributions in all competitions this season.

According to Fichejes, expectations appear to be rising within Emirates Stadium about the possibility that Gyoker would sign him to add to Mikel Arteta’s team.

Gunners obviously need to make changes this summer. Neither Kai Herberts nor Gabriel Jesus look like players who can score 20 goals per season.

In contrast, Gyoker has a very impressive 34 goals in his previous 29 league matches, but of course doing that in the Premier League is a different kind of challenge.

Arsenal is getting stronger and stronger

Arsenal appears to be appearing now as a Gyoker favourite despite certain other 26-year-old suitors for informed.

A recent report from Just Arsenal shows that Chelsea and Manchester United are also mentioned as suitors of Gyoker’s rivals.

Still, these clubs aren’t as powerful as they used to be. Arsenal is now a more attractive project for Gyoker if he wants to win a major trophy.

Arsenal appears to be on the right track under Arteta, who has had a team in the title race for the third year in a row, but the people of North London look like serious contenders for the Champions League this season.

Adding an elite goalscorer like Gyoker could be an important next step to help the AFC eventually get that elusive league title.

I imagine we will still see some other names linked to the club, but there is still nothing to be decided about the signature for a little while.
