Kevin De Bruin leaves Man City at the end of the season after an incredible spell, but his next club has yet to be decided. He has linked his participation in another Premier League club, but recent developments have allowed him to face the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez later this year.
After Friday’s 1-0 victory over the Wolves, De Bruin admitted he’s not sure if he’ll go to the Club World Cup with Man City. That decision will likely depend on his next club, and if he joins someone like Aston Villa, he will have no problem playing in the US.
But if he joins the MLS club, they could thwart his hopes of playing in the US. And at this stage, it is most likely that he will lead the state for his next adventure.
Kevin de Bruyne will begin his contract talk with the MLS club
As reported by ESPN, De Bruyne has begun discussions with Chicago Fire on the MLS side. They are ready to offer designated player contracts to Belgian International, which will have an advantage over something like Intermiami that links to making an approach to them.
Intermiami already has the right to discover De Bruyne, but considering it is unable to offer a designated player contract, they will put them on their hind legs to reach an agreement with Man City Star. In this respect, the Chicago fire is considered a favorite to get the deal done.
It is still unknown where De Bruyne will end by the end of summer. He managed to stay in the Premier League, but increasingly sees him in favor of moving England to the US.
