It’s been quite some time since Max Muncie last experienced the joy of a sunflower seed shower from his teammate.
The Los Angeles made 28 appearances without a home run from Max Muncy. It was his longest winning streak in his career, but hopefully he broke the longer ball seal coming from two All-Stars on a Wednesday afternoon at Stadium.
Fans may not have noticed, but Muncie wore prescription glasses during her first meal of the year. And he plans to do so for the rest of the season, for the diagnosis of astigmatism in his right eye.

Due to a Sunny Los Angeles afternoon, Muncie was easy to debut a new look in sunglasses that had prescription lenses, but the start to the three-game set against the Atlanta Braves on Friday was the first time fans have seen Muncie in a new frame.
“If there’s something that’s a little helpful,” Muncie said, “I’ll give it a try.”
This is not the first time glasses have been used to help the ‘ poor batsman.
Last season, Quique Hernandez averaged .191 batting average before the All-Star break. After a diagnosis of astigmatism, even in the right eye – Utility Man finished 2024 and hit .274 with .766 OPS.
Hopefully Muncie has a similar destiny. Because his batting average before Wednesday was just .180, with 16 hits, no home runs and four RBIs. In particular, with the veteran’s three home runs and .755 OPS last season, deep success in 2025 is a top priority.
