Kristaps Porzingis has given a name to a New York Knicks player.

The Boston Celtics will invite the New York Knicks to Game 1 of the series on Monday.

Paul Pierce has already given his previous side the upper hand, but anything can happen in the playoffs.

The Knicks have lost all four regular season games with the Celtics, but the postseason is a completely different ball game.

Ahead of the series, Kristaps Porzingis stated what it would be like to return to Madison Square Garden for the playoffs.

He was also named a player of Knicks Players who are tough matchups and will make the team’s efforts to containment.

Karl-Anthony Towns was the most inconsistent in the series against the Detroit Pistons, despite an average of 19.7 ppg and 10 rpg.

He certainly shot the ball well, advanced 48% beyond the arc, ranking him the best in the playoffs this season.

The town will face Porzingis in the playoffs. This is an interesting matchup as it is a center who loves to shoot the ball.

Porzingis said: “His talent is offensive and he’s a tough matchup for everyone and the team will put in the effort to stop him.”

The Latvian wants to turn his 3-point shooting as he hasn’t been shot particularly well against magic and only made 11.8% of his shots in the first round.

Town and Porzingis came in first and sixth in the 2015 draft class, respectively.

Both came as centers that can stretch the floors well, and ever since, the upcoming Big has adapted this to their game.

They spent careers wreaking havoc on their surroundings, a skill that many centers didn’t have in the past.

When asked about the impact he and the town had on his position, Porzingis said:

“It certainly is, as the next generation comes, they will probably get even better.

“You see Wenby, taller, more athletic, better shooters, etc. We are definitely the players who started trending, and now all the players are very skilled.

The duo are crucial to their respective teams when the sides meet, and both coaches hope that Big can shoot well, as they can be crucial in the series.
