Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur were keeping an eye on Jake Evans attacking Leicester City, and were able to make a move for him in the summer.
According to a report by Fichajes, the two clubs will be willing to offer 15 million euros to the 16-year-old striker. He was handed his Premier League debut earlier this season, and he has been highly praised nationwide. He proved to be a solid long-term investment for the two clubs.
Will Leicester let Jake Evans leave?
It will be interesting to see if the fox is ready to cash out to players this summer. He is one of their most valuable young prospects. Leicester has been demoted from the Premier League and they may try to build around younger players for the future.
The opportunity to join Manchester United and Tottenham can be extremely exciting for Evans. It was a big step in his career and he can play for some of the largest clubs in the country.
Man United and Tottenham were able to raise him to a star
Manchester United have been doing well over the years to develop young players, helping the 16-year-old meet his incredible potential.
Additionally, Tottenham has shown an eagerness to invest in talented young players in the recent window. They have already brought some young talent, and it appears they are about to add to the club’s terrifying pool of young prospects.
It will be interesting to see which of the two clubs can make a deal. Manchester United are considering improving their offensive units. Meanwhile, Tottenham is also surveillance of attackers.
15 million euros for a 16 year old seems to be a reasonable amount. He developed into a key first team player for both clubs, allowing him to justify future investments.
It would be interesting to see where he ends. Evans should join a club with a clear plan for his development. He needs the opportunity for the first team and it is still unclear whether two English clubs are ready to provide him with the platform he needs.
