British and Ireland’s Lions coach Andy Farrell named his team in front of 2,000 fans at London’s O2 Arena on May 8, reflecting the launch of the F1 season opening game.

But when will we know? This is everything you need to know.

Timing and important details

when: BST from 2pm (11pm Aest)
where: O2 Arena, London

What happens?

There were 37 players in the 2021 team, and although it is not expected that the Irish coach would do the same differently, it is not clear how many players Farrell will choose.

Each pick will be announced by former Welsh Wing and current Lions president Ieuan Evans.

When is your tour of Australia?

The British and Ireland Lions will begin with a warm-up game against Argentina at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on June 20th. From there, they go down for the first match of six tour matches against the various Australian sides before the test begins.

How were the Lions carried on previous tours?

The task facing Andy Farrell is to lead the Lions to their second Tour victory in almost 30 years.

That summer, Warren Gatland’s team won a 2-1 series victory. However, the two subsequent lion sides struggle to reach the same height.

The 2017 New Zealand tour ends with tie, with the All Blacks and Lions each win the game, with a 16-16 draw in the final game/

South Africa’s 2021 tour under the shadow of Covid was off to a bright start just for Springbok to take the next two games and Sayer as the Lions enjoyed a 22-17 victory.

Recent Tours:

2021 – South Africa (2-1 defeat)
2017 – Against New Zealand (1-1-1 draw)
2013 – vs. Australia (2-1 victory)
2009 – South Africa (2-1 defeat)
2005 – Against New Zealand (3-0 loss)
2001 – vs. Australia (2-1 defeat)
