Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea are all preparing bids for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco, according to catch-offside sources.
The 21-year-old attacker has scored 21 goals this season in 43 appearances for the Bundesliga side.
RB Leipzig reportedly valued between 80 million and 900,000 euros on their valuable assets, with confidence in his potential for rising and rising profiles in European football.
However, interested clubs are hesitant to meet that number, with most people trying to negotiate fees between 65 million and 700,000 euros.
Arsenal leads the race and signs Sesco
Arsenal is said to be particularly keen on signing offenders, and Sesco is an ideal addition to Mikel Arteta’s attack options, offering pace, aviation advantage and clinical finish.
United and Chelsea are looking for both transition and long-term offensive solutions, and Sesco considers its best targets. His versatility makes him particularly attractive as he can play as a sole striker or in front two.
Liverpool has maintained a close tab as well, and may be seeing him as part of future post-Sara evolution.
Premier League clubs face external competition
Outside of England, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as major candidates.
Bayern sees Sesco as a long-term successor to Harry Kane, and PSG sees him as part of his strategy to rebuild the youth.
Regardless of where he ends, Sesco’s next move appears to be destined to be one of the decisive transfers of the summer.
Leipzig technical director Christopher Bibel praised him as a “real scorer” and highlighted his natural finishing ability.
