Less than two weeks later, the Nuggets had an incredible victory over the Clippers in the first round. Game 4 was tied up late with 99-99, and Denver had final ownership. Three-inning MVP Nikola Djokic tried a shot that went long and didn’t hit the rim. However, Nuggets’ Aaron Gordon was in the best position to rebound Jokic’s missed shot. In one move, Gordon rebounded the ball and slammed it for a dunk when the buzzer broke.
Miraculously, he released the ball with 0.1 seconds left on the clock. It was an impressive 101-99 victory. On Monday night in Game 1 vs Thunder, Aaron Gordon appeared in the late game hero. With 9.5 seconds left, OKC’s Chet Holmgren missed two straight free throws and Christian Bruan grabbed a defensive rebound. He quickly handed the ball to Russell Westbrook. Westbrook fired a pass to Aaron Gordon.
The big man knocked down a 25-foot jump shot and stole Game 1 for the Thunder. His second shot in the last two weeks was a game-winning playoff shot. In the 2024-25 regular season, Gordon shot a career-high .436% over the Ark. Gordon praised the warehouse he bought and became a home/gym for his consistency beyond the arc. Aaron Gordon is working to improve his accuracy and is rewarded for the greatest moments.
