Pat Spencer receives his flowers to step up in Stephen Curry’s absence for the Golden State Warriors.

Prior to the second round of matchups with the Minnesota Timberwolves, most NBA experts chose the Golden State Warriors and advanced to the Western Conference Finals.

That could be a shock to fans. After all, Dove barely beat the Houston Rockets in the first round. Meanwhile, T-Wolves had no issues dealing with the Los Angeles Lakers.

However, the Warriors proved their talent in Game 1 of the conference semi-finals as they registered a rough 99-88 victory over the Timberwolves.

During his career, Stephen Curry saved the Warriors multiple times in the playoffs. However, there are not many things that injured curry can be made.

In fact, in Game 1, Curry played just 13 minutes before he was forced to exit due to a hamstring injury. Curry was out of the game and Pat Spencer got another minute in the rotation of head coach Steve Kerr.

Spencer played in just 11 minutes, but it was enough for him to leave a big impression on former fighter Festus Ezeri.

“I had to give Pat Spencer a lot of love. He was attacking, going downhill, going into the paint and giving the Warriors a huge boost,” Ezeli said.

Apart from Spencer, Ezeli praised veteran center Kevon Rooney for doing it on the floor, saying, “Kevon Rooney, a big offensive rebound… I think he did a great job putting pressure on the rim.”

He concluded: “This is a rough victory you can build for the rest of the series.”

As mentioned earlier, Coach Kerr gave Spencer 11 minutes in Game 1. For this limited time, Spencer finished the night with 4 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals.

He also shot two quarters off the field, violating two personal fouls and one sales. Nevertheless, fans loved Spencer’s hustle in court.

As for the next thing at 28, if Steph Curry misses some games in the series, he may need to consistently display more than 15 minutes.

Curry is listed as daily, but when you go through an MRI scan you will see a clearer image.
