Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford reportedly changed his agent to drop a big clue about what he is aiming to play next season.
England International is currently on loan at Aston Villa, and while it works very well there, it appears to be turning to another permanent destination.
Rashford appears to have been represented by superagent Pini Zahavi, who is closely linked to Barcelona.
This, according to a report by Mundo Deportivo, explains that this is Rashford is taking a strategic move to essentially provide himself to Barca.
It is still unclear whether this will prove successful, but it makes sense that Rashford is leaving Old Trafford and looking at his long-term future.
Who is Marcus Rashford’s new agent Pini Zahabi?
Zahavi is a well-known soccer agent who represents many of the games’ stars, so it could be a good option to help Rashford get the big move he wants.
Mundo Deportivo notes that Zajavi has a good relationship with the president of Barcelona’s Joan Laporta, but he also represents club manager Hansi Flick and star striker Robert Lewandowski.
The question is, if Barcelona himself actually wants to sign Rashford, he will represent a bit of gambling at this stage of his career.
Will Barcelona need to sign Marcus Rashford this summer?
Barca could probably do it at more attacking depths next season, and Rashford could be an upgrade for someone like ANSU Fati.
Still, you’ll feel like the Catalan giant can do better than Rashford, which has been showing signs of decline for a while.
The 27-year-old definitely had moments in his career where he looked world class, but it’s been a while now, as he saw that form from him.
The Villa looks like a good level for Rashford, but he appears to be aiming higher as he appears to be on his way to Barcelona, so now we need to see if the emotions are mutual.
