Geneva – Novak Djokovic has come to the Geneva Open for the second year in a row, seeking his first victory at Clay this season, ahead of Roland Garros.

Geneva organizers said Friday that Djokovic will play in the May 17-24 tournament.

In search of his 100th singles title on the tour, No. 6 Djokovic holds a 0-2 record in the European clay court season after a quick ex with Monte Carlo and Madrid.

The Geneva lineup includes fourth-placed Taylor Fritz and Casperlude, defending champions who won three of the last four editions at Lakeside Park Club.

Djokovic turned 38 on May 22nd, allowing him to celebrate his birthday in Geneva again.

Last year he was eliminated in the semi-finals in Geneva by Tomas Machac, and then went on to advance to Paris for four rounds. He lost his first ranking by quoting a knee injury before meeting Rude in the quarterfinals.
