Chelsea are interested in signing Strasbourg striker Emmanuel Emega at the end of the season.
They are monitoring the 22-year-old Dutch international, and reports from Footmercato claim they are already discussing to sign players.
Chelsea can refer to Emeniel
The striker has been able to grow into a key player for Chelsea this season with 14 goals and three assists in his name. The report claims that Chelsea decided to chase him this summer, rather than fashionable names like Victor Osimhen and Victor Gyoker.
Emega is likely far lower than the other two players, and could prove to be a reasonable investment for Chelsea. They needed more cutting edge in the final third, and the 22-year-old was able to compete with Nicholas Jackson for the starting spot.
Aside from his ability to find the back of the net, he adds pace and directness to Chelsea’s offense. The 22-year-old loves to play against defenders, and he is the fastest player in League One this season, recording a top speed of 37.72 km/hr.
Chelsea has its advantages
Chelsea, on the other hand, has a great advantage in pursuing players. Strasbourg is owned by Chelsea’s parent company Blueco, and negotiations between the two clubs are not complicated. It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will be able to get a deal on the entire line. They have been following him for years.
The opportunity to join the London Club is extremely exciting for Dutch attackers. It was a big step in his career and he will try to prove himself in the Premier League. The players have physical and technical attributes that do well in the UK. He could be a Chelsea player next season.
