For the first time in his career, Giannis Antetokounmpo will explore options to leave the Milwaukee Bucks following his third straight-round playoff exit.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Antetokounmpo has not made any solid decisions regarding his future in the franchise, but he is open-minded about whether staying in Milwaukee would be best for his career.

At the end of April, the Bucks were eliminated from the postseason at the first hurdle of the third consecutive year, and at the age of 30, the player does not want to waste his Prime year.

The Antetokounmpo deal will feature a $62 million player option in 2027 ahead of the possibility of reaching unlimited free agency in a year.

The Bucks featured another scintillation campaign with five seeds from the Eastern Conference and the “Greek Freak” which averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists.

He averaged 30-10-5 with 60% shooting for his second consecutive year.

The nine-time All-Star, widely considered one of the league’s top three players, was led to his first NBA championship since 1971, earning the Finals MVP.

The two-time MVP with eight All-NBA honors in his name can be expected to see all teams across the league call the Backs Front Office on Antetokounmpo’s availability following the news.

According to a report by Charania, the player representatives will be sitting with the team later this offseason, hanging in balance at this current moment.

Antetokounmpo was drafted by the Bucks in 2013 for the 15th overall pick and went on to Blossom as one of the greatest players in history.

In the 2016-17 season, Antetokounmpo led the Bucks in all five major statistical categories, becoming the first player to finish the regular season in the top 20 in the top 20.

He was one of two players alongside LeBron James and Kareem Abdul Jabar, and won two MVP awards before he turned 26. In 2020, only Michael Jordan and Hakim Olajuwon joined as winners of both MVP and defensive players of the same season.
