Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Vitor Pereira revealed plans for Mateus Mane next season.

The 17-year-old was recently handed over his Premier League debut, and he has been highly praised at the club. The player was named multiple times on the bench for the Premier League side, but he was finally handed his Premier League debut against Brighton.

Mane is pleased to take the opportunity and is trying to build it in the coming weeks.

Pereira reveals his plans for young people

Manager Pereira has confirmed that the player will be part of the Wolves’ first team team next season, and he is a special talent that can surprise Premier League defenders.

“Mane, he’s a talented player so I’m sure he’ll be surprised in England in this league,” Pereira said via Birmingham World. “It’s true that next season he will be on the first team with us. He’s not only a talent, but a worker, and for me, it was about giving him a few minutes at that moment in the game, because I thought he could do something.”

There is no doubt that 17-year-olds are an incredible talent with a bright future. Normal football with the wolves could potentially accelerate his development.

The West Midlands Club may not have Matthews Cunha next season. The Brazilian links to moves away from the club and it will be interesting to see if the mane is handed over the opportunity to replace him in the starting lineup.

The Wolf Academy alumni has no experience in Premier League football, but he has the talent to establish himself as a key team player in the future. Regular exposure to top flights is ideal for his growth.
