Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker has shown off his baseball skills during the long offseason.
Devin Booker is a handful of NBA stars who spent their entire career in the same organization.
For Booker, the franchise is the Phoenix Suns. But even after giving it all over the decade, the Suns are not closer to winning the NBA title than when Booker was drafted in 2015.
With the Suns not qualifying for the postseason, Booker uses his free time to concentrate on anything other than basketball.
The 4x NBA All-Star went viral recently when MLB’s official X-handle posted a clip of Booker watching him play baseball.
To be honest, the Suns star did well as he hit a ball far away on the video. But for NBA fans, it wasn’t a topic of discussion.
NBA fans focused on Booker’s outfits and wore extremely long shorts in the current video.
One fan wrote: While another asked: “What is he wearing?”
“Is it impossible to wear a regular T-shirt and shorts?” a fan asked.
“Why can’t NBA players dress themselves?” one frustrated NBA fan wondered.
Fans joked: “These pants are confused about what they are.”
Aside from the obvious costume jokes, several fans wondered whether Booker would follow in Michael Jordan’s footsteps and test his luck in baseball.
But joking aside, after spending 10 seasons with the organization, there was chatter about Booker’s future in the rumoured mill about Booker’s future.
Sports analyst Rachel Nichols said Booker should forget his loyalty and demand a deal away from Phoenix.
Given that he is only 28 years old, D-Book can help his team become a competition in the championship. A deal with the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for the Cooper Flag is one option.
But so far, Booker hasn’t dropped any hints about his future with the Suns. So the fanbase should expect the superstar to stay in Phoenix, at least for now.
