Myron Santos raised his hand after a 15-minute clash with Francis Marshall at UFC 313 in March. But after rewatching, he thought he had done enough to win.

I’m preparing for a short Saturday this week, so I’ll fight as a lightweight, Ultimate Fighter 32 The featherweight winner is facing Sodiq Yusuff for a more decisive victory at UFC Vegas 106.

“I used it as an evolution (fighting),” Santos told MMA Fighting. “I saw the wrong mistakes and everything in that fight, I could have done the right thing. Let’s go ahead and see it as a lesson. At first, I was growing it a lot because I knew our potential and I was more frustrated than the fact that someone was better than you.

“And I felt (bad performance). It was a mistake I made. I wasn’t taken away from the guy anything, he fought well, but I felt there was a lot of things I could do better. I’m watching this fight as a lesson.

Santos said his biggest problem with taking part in the battle of Marshall was that he felt confident in his hands. He stopped Kaan ofli for 90 seconds in the second round, TUF 32 He crowned him seven months ago and thought all he needed was a punch to defeat Marshall.

“That was a lesson I learned. For this fight, I’m definitely doing new things that do good for me,” Santos said. “I was happy when I saw that I was going to fight (Yusuf). Fighters always want the biggest challenge, regardless of their weight class. I was happy when they gave me that name because I saw the UFC giving me a good opportunity despite my last fight being not the biggest.

Yusuf also makes his lightweight UFC debut, but after a loss of a quick knockout, he goes back to action for over a year to enter the octagon for the 10th time, turning his back to the wall after consecutive defeats to Brazilian Diego Lopez and Edson Barboza.

“It’s all about making it a great fight for me,” Santos said. “I will hold my words because we always expect a knockout. I will knock him out in the second round. I did not respect my last opponent. For this fight, I want to respect him, but I don’t want to respect him, but my hands will eventually land.
