Sean Strickland doesn’t like how soft the soft society is.
Despite being a former UFC middleweight champion, Strickland is undoubtedly best known for his humorous, regularly indifferent social media rants one day. He attacks everything from religion to politics and almost everything in between, but one of his biggest complaints these days is how easily one of America’s biggest complaints has it compared to the years he spent.
In a recent interview with Helen Yi, “Tarzan” fell into his country again, and the modern struggle of becoming a man in a place where everyone appears to be offensive.
“The pain is just temporary,” Strickland said. “You get used to it. It’s just pain. It hurts, but you get used to it. The problem is that society is now (expective).
“At the time you just plough the field (let) and you fight men and go to war. But now it’s so easy. You have to overcome the hardships to become yourself.
After two shortened against “DDP”, what’s next for Sean Strickland?
Strickland has many pearls of wisdom outside the octagon, but it appears he has lost his way in the cage.
After brilliantly upsetting Israeli Adesanya in September 2023, Strickland dropped two of his last three. For the first time, Strickland kept the fight close and in the eyes of many did enough to hold his title.
However, the rematch was far more decisive, but Duplesis overtook Strickland in all but one round and escaped with a scorecard.
Even Strickland’s victory over Paulo Costa between two losses to “DDP” left something that was desired.
“Tarzan” has yet to book a 2025 return fight, but there is a possibility that top-ranked candidate Nassoldin’s clash with Imabov or outstanding Caio Borralho will be on the card.
