The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves will be held at the Paycom Center for Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday.
Thunder vs Timberwolves Game 1 Preview
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Anthony Edwards two of the NBA’s best young talents are preparing to go head-on towards the age series.
Thunder enters as a heavy favorite after sending both the Lakers and Warriors with five while they take off the Denver Nuggets with seven, after doing a simple job with the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round.
There was nothing to split the pair in regular season matchups. Although we shared spoilers 2-2 throughout the campaign, No. 1 seed Lightning was blown away with 68 wins with 68 seed Timberwolves with 49 and 68 wins.
Oklahoma City was last seen on that stage in 2012, led by Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden, allowing Minnesota to reach the sleeper for the first time in franchise history.
Thunder boasts the biggest scoring differential in the NBA this season, 12.9 points ahead of the team per game, and has no doubt owning an excellent roster here.
MVP-In-Waiting Gilgeous-Alexander features all-star talents from Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren alongside elite role players such as Isaiah Hertenstein, Alex Caruso and Rudort.
Caruso made history in the series Clinchin game with the Nuggets and became the third player to get +40 in Game 7.
The Timberwolves are not leaning forward. There’s an average double punch from Edwards and Julius Randle, and he’ll go with elite defenses from Jaden McDaniels and Rudy Goat Plus Nas Reed, Donte Divinsenzo and Nickaire Alexander Walker.
It’s no surprise to see Oklahoma City being so much preferred in Game 1, as Thunder scored 8 out of the last 10 at Paycom Center, with the Timberwolves totaling 24-17.
