It appears that Mashwas Kuña will likely head to Manchester United after Arsenal has also recently expressed interest in him.
It was clear he was planning on leaving Wolves this summer, but I was a bit surprised by the move as I thought he would choose a club that is a little more stable than United at this point.
I think it’s a really good move from United. They desperately need more quality, especially in attacks.
He’s better than what United has now, but that’s clearly not very difficult.
What was the interest in Arsenal’s transfer to Masteus Cunha?
Arsenal had seen Cunha as a possible option in January, but it hadn’t gone any further.
I think they saw him as a potential opportunity in the market in January, but it became clear that financially it wouldn’t work, and he signed his deal on Molineux anyway.
I have never considered him a possibility this summer. The club clearly has other priorities when it comes to strengthening offensives.
In a way, I think he’s a bit like Joan Pedro in terms of the position he plays. He’s not really a No. 9 or a winger, and those are two positions Arsenal really wants to improve.
