Team Penske has checked out the Indy 500 reshuffle reps.

The 109th running of the iconic event will take place on Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but is plagued by the controversy surrounding Team Pensuke.

Josef Newgarden and Will Power’s cars failed technical inspections during qualifying last weekend and were banned from participating.

An illegal attenuator was found on the back of each car. That is, the Pensuke duo was punished with drops behind the starting grid of 33 cars.

Team owner Roger Pensuke responded to the rage inside the Indy Carpadock by saying goodbye to three executives.

Tim Cindric and Ron Ruzewski lost their jobs, but importantly, they were racing strategists for their respective New Gardens and Power.

These roles are currently being reassigned for the 2025 Indy 500.

Ben Bretzman I’m a race strategist Malcolm Finch Scott McLaughlin’s #3 Chevrolet lead engineer. McLaughlin’s car did not violate the rules and was not subject to penalties.

Jonathan Diouguid I’m a new race strategist David Fautino New lead engineer at Power’s #12 Verizon Chevrolet.

New Garden must open its 32nd time on the grid, seeking third consecutive wins in the Indy 500 that drivers have never achieved.

The power source is behind the field.

Reallocating key staff at New Garden and Power is the latest task for team owner Roger Pensk in a controversial week.

He had to beat the fear from Pat O’Ward that last year’s victory car, which belongs to New Garden, had made illegal changes this year.

Roger Pensuke also involved in discussions with fellow team owners and revealed the promises he made to them.

Chip Ganassi previously argued that Team Pensuke, who owns IndyCar and Indianapolis Motor Speedway, must be held at a higher standard than the rest of the teams.

McLaren’s Zach Brown criticized Team Pensuke for his “integrity” when he was caught up in his second scandal two years later.
