Tom Thibodeau isn’t worried about potential injuries to the two New York Knicks stars.

After a 2-0 down at home, the New York Knicks registered the required 106-100 Game 3 victory for the Indiana Pacers.

The Knicks are still being tracked in one game, but the team must have felt confident as they erased the 20-point deficit to register a 6-point victory.

This stunning victory has infused energy into the Knicks’ fan base, but at the same time they are worried about potential injuries starring Karl Anthony Towns and Josh Hart.

Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau is known for requiring extra effort from his starting lineup. He has not changed his strategy in the 2025 NBA playoffs.

This will allow the Coachievers to have the best lineup on the court for a long period of time, but also bring the risk of star injury due to fatigue.

That being said, Thibodeau was asked if fans should be concerned about the health of the town and Hart as he saw the two stars suffer from potential injuries in Game 3.

“No,” Thibodeau said before throwing a subtle shade at Nico Harrison. “I don’t know if you know, but our medical team is the best selected in the league.”

He added: “They’re difficult. I think mental toughness is probably more important at this time of the year than physical toughness. Both are mentally tough.”

Casey Smith is at the forefront of returning to the Knicks medical team. If the name sounds familiar, that’s because Smith led the Dallas Mavericks medical team before joining the Knicks.

Smith was a longtime Mavericks employee and reportedly was fired by General Manager Nico Harrison, who believed that he made Luka Donsic possible.

Harrison’s decision to fire Smith was astounding as it would have been. After all, even franchise legend Dirk Nowitzki alienated himself from the inner circle of Mavs after Smith’s plunder.

Well, Harrison must regret his decision as Smith and his staff were nominated for the NBA’s best medical team in the 2024-25 NBA season.
