According to Sky Sports Reporter Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich has expanded his search for top-class left wingers, with Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo now firmly on their radar.
The 26-year-old Dutch International is being seriously considered by the German giants as it seeks to improve its attack options ahead of its 2025/26 campaign.
Gakupo is currently part of Bayern’s shortlist, which also includes Brighton’s Kaorumitoma and AC Milan’s Rafael Rio.
Although Gakupo is not at the top of the list, he is still a player who is praised by the Bayern Munich hierarchy.

Bayern sports director Max Ebal is said to be a fan of Gakupo’s profile and believes he can provide a dynamic new dimension to his team’s wide play.

The Dutch player has shown what is important for Arne Slot’s side this season by scoring 18 goals and providing seven assists in all competitions.
Liverpool is expected to evaluate attacking options during the summer window.
Gakpo, who has been on a contract until 2028, could be allowed to leave if appropriate offers arrive, especially if Liverpool chooses to rebuild the frontline.
