Tyreese Halliburton moved his career game to one of the worst outings of all time, and NBA fans couldn’t believe it.
The Indiana Pacers lost Game 5 of the New York Knicks’ Eastern Conference Finals. The Pacers have two more chances to close the series as they return to Indiana with a 3-2 lead.
Tyreese Halliburton in particular had a very poor performance, scoring just eight points. It was totally disappointing to see Halliburton overwhelmed after losing his career-high performance in Game 4.
Haliburton’s Game 4 performance broke several records, including one set from 23 years ago. But no one will talk about his performance tonight.
If Rick Carlisle had been tired of hearing about Halliburton’s numbers before, he wouldn’t want to hear about it tonight.

Several fans took part in social media during Game 5 to talk about Tyrees Halliburton’s performance.
One fan said, “Tyrees Halliburton was able to drop the next point by dropping a 100-point triple double. This guy has no meaning.”
Another fan wanted the fan to pump the brakes.
One Angry Knicks fan said, “Tyrese Haliburton is not a superstar. Sorry… Superstars don’t try to get away with semi-regularly, even in large games and even the entire game.”
An angry Pacer fan said, “If Halliburton attempts 20 shots in the elimination game and misses all the shots, there will be zero issues tonight.
Another fan deemed his performance unacceptable, saying, “Tylese Halliburton must be better and there’s no further action to disappear.”

Oddly, at 3-1, many people actually expected the Pacer to lose Game 5. That’s not justifying Halliburton’s mediocre performance.
However, historically, when teams are down 3-1, they play with a level of despair and urgency that a leading team cannot cope with.
The good news for Halliburton is that he can redeem himself in just two nights. Pacer hosts the Knicks in Game 6, where he has to try to replicate the performance of Game 4.
He must bring about the level of effort and hustle that he didn’t have at Madison Square Garden. Can the Pacer close the Nick in Game 6?
For them, they don’t want to give the Knicks the chance to return and blow a 3-1 lead, so they’re better off doing it.
