Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli is reportedly one of the players on Barcelona’s list, along with things like Liverpool star Luis Diaz.
The Catalan giant already has a world-class front three that includes Robert Lewandovsky, Ramin Yamal and Rafinha, but they seem eager to continue to strengthen in that position.
As reported earlier today, Diaz is a target for Barcelona and other top clubs, and now claims that the sport may be too expensive for them.
Thus, the sport claims that Arsenal’s Martinelli is another alternative to be considered by Barca this summer, but it has not seen how realistic it is.
Arsenal certainly doesn’t sell Gabriel Martinelli
Things will likely change in the coming weeks and months, but for now it seems unlikely that Arsenal is ready to go to a key player like Martinelli.
Brazilian International is not always the most consistent performer, but he is an important part of Mikel Arteta’s side, often starting the game via Leandro Torosad on the left.
Still, Arsenal may change their offense this summer. That is, either Martinelli or Torosad may make the way.
But in that scenario, Trossard could make more sense as someone who can sell, as he is older than Martinelli and is a player on his team.
Barcelona has a history of signing the Arsenal Star
Many players who have travelled from Arsenal to Barcelona for years have seen LaLiga outfits poaching big names such as Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas and Mark Overmars.
But there were a few flops as Barka wasted money on Alex’s songs, Alex Fulve and Thomas Welmaren.
If Martinelli also moves there, it would be interesting to see if he’s going to be a hit or miss.
