Following the Knicks’ elimination in the Eastern Conference Finals, center Mitchell Robinson has a healthy message to the fans.

The New York Knicks season ended at the hands of the Indiana Pacers after a massive Game 6 loss with six losses in the Eastern Conference Finals. It’s safe to say they missed the series.

Magic Johnson has condemned the towns of two Knicks stars, Jalen Branson and Karl Anthony. Josh Hart was also critical of his performance in the aftermath.

One player he can say is center Mitchell Robinson. He saved some possessions by grabbing offensive rebounds, but he quickly accepted responsibility anyway.

Robinson is great for the Knicks when called out. However, his biggest problem was his injury, which caused him to miss a fair amount of time.

The Big Man played just 19 games during this regular season. He was available during the playoffs but managed only 20 minutes in the game. He talked about his frustration on Instagram.

“I know that’s not the end of the world,” the 27-year-old wrote.

“I have been in this league for seven years, fighting injuries and making big jumps through the ups and downs, but this is definitely not the same as any other season that has ended.

“I’m mad at myself.

Robinson has signed with the Knicks for another season. The center earned $12,954,546 during the 2025-26 season, and he will become a free agent after that.

From 2019 to 2023, Robinson played in 223 Knicks games, averaging 8.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks. He looked ready to become the starting center for the franchise.

However, since then, he has managed just 48 games in two seasons. Furthermore, his average has also dropped significantly.

The Knicks need to decide what they want to do with the big guy this offseason. If they are going to exchange him, his expiration contract and potential benefits could prove to be extremely valuable.
