Jonathan Kuminga’s tenure with the Golden State Warriors was a roller coaster of promises and contradictions.

The future of team-limited free agents remains uncertain, especially given the Warriors’ financial constraints and the evolving roster dynamics.

But one expectation is clear. The Warriors won’t let Jonathan Kuminga escape for nothing. The organization may explore sign-and-trade scenarios to acquire assets while moving him elsewhere.

Kuminga has the potential to be undeniable, showing a flash of light that is a powerful scorer who loves to attack Rim.

Despite struggling with Steve Kerr’s system and diminishing opportunities since Jimmy Butler joined the team, several destinations make sense for the 22-year-old forward.

The Chicago Bulls and Nikola Vsevic were both able to do with a fresh start, creating a sign-and-trade scenario that includes both kuminga logic.

The Warriors need a centre that can stretch the floor, shoot effectively, and promote attacks. Vucevic owns these attributes, averaging 18.5 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game last season, earning 40.2% from the 3-point range.

He has defensive vulnerabilities, but he should play alongside Draymond Green and Butler.

For Chicago, Cuminga offers the physicality and directness that is missing from the current roster, centered around Coby White and Josh Giddy.

His athleticism on the rim makes him an ideal LOB target for Giddey, but his skill set can play a similar role to DeMar Derozan’s previous influence.

ESPN’s Kevin Pelton sees the Bulls as Jonathan Kuminga’s landing site.

This could also be another sign-and-trade scenario. In this scenario, the Warriors can get another big scenario in exchange for Kuminga. Brooklynnet may not have an All-Star Caliber Center, but there is Cam Johnson.

The acquisition of Kuminga is consistent with Nets’ rebuild efforts. At 22 years old, Kuminga brings the athletic ability and potential that could be cultivated in the Nets system. The role defined as an increase in play time could accelerate his development and provide the net with promising assets for the future.

Conversely, the Warriors will have three reliable players for Johnson. His 39% three-point shooting rate and defensive versatility make a valuable addition to the Golden State roster, complementing his existing core and offensive scheme.

His experience and skill set can address some of the Warriors’ current needs and allow him to contribute immediately.

Although pay cap considerations and contract details need to be addressed, this trade scenario allows both teams to align their roster with short-term and long-term goals.

The Phoenix Suns represent the most interesting possibilities through Kevin Durant’s reunion scenario, but the Warriors need to surrender more than Kuminga.

Golden State can offer promising young players like Kuminga, payroll filler, Brandin Posiemski and Moses Moody with multiple first-round picks and new contracts.

Durant is highly expected to be traded. Phoenix may take the package seriously considering Durant’s age (37 in September), his injury history, and his inability to prevent disappointment from last season. Having a young core with Kuminga and Podziemski is a good idea to rebuild.

Despite the fact that the Warriors could lose a lot of assets, having a team that includes Stephen Curry, Green, Butler and Durant still sounds like it could be a championship caliber.
