Paul George’s two former teams, the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder, are currently competing in the 2025 NBA Finals.

Meanwhile, George is currently a member of the Philadelphia 76ers and has an unforgettable run for the 2024-25 season.

The 76ers finished 13th in the Eastern Conference, with George scoring a terrible 24-58 record with little impact on the team.

Coming to the PG13 stint with PACERS and THUNDER, the 35-year-old faces major Flaks with no one on either team. However, former NBA Stargilbert Arena has a different view on the situation.

Agent Zero is known for his vicious take on everything related to the NBA. However, the former Washington Wizards star didn’t shoot George as it was the reason for the Pacers vs. Thunder Final.

Instead, Arenas thinks it shows how talented George is at the height of his career.

“I mean, it says a lot about the talent he was,” Arenas said in Gill’s arena. “It was so precious that he would continue to be moved for these particular works. That’s what I really say.”

He added: “I knew there were people who had names and they traded for anything. At least these transactions turned into something.”

Well, that’s one way to see it, but the majority of the NBA community still used it to photograph George’s legacy.

The Pacers drafted George on their 10th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. Given that he was a lottery pick, it makes sense that Indy has great hopes for him.

That being said, George spent seven seasons with the Pacers, averaging 18.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.2 games of assist in one game. He also won the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award in 2013.

On top of that, George won four NBA All-Star selections. How can we forget LeBron James’s legendary battle against the Miami Heat? All in all, the PG13 was an outstanding player in Indiana.

However, George had a big fallout with Pacer in 2017 and found himself in the OKC Thunder the following season. George only played two seasons due to lightning, but it was definitely his peak version.

He averaged 25.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. George was an All-Star in both seasons, finishing third in the 2019 NBA MVP race.

At the time, it made some sense for the LA Clippers to send a massive trade package around Shy Gilgauss Alexander to buy George. But in hindsight, it feels like a terrible move.
