West Ham needs a few new players, especially in the Premier League, in the back of the extremely disappointing 2024-25 season this summer. One player who deals with the midfield and forward area and supports both is Harvey Elliott.

Elliott has struggled to stand out in Liverpool since Arne Slot arrived as manager. He managed 28 appearances last season in all competitions last season, and only two starts in the Premier League.

As a result, it was decided that Elliott could leave Liverpool this summer. Over the past few weeks he has linked to Nottingham Forest and the Wolf, and is now supported to join West Ham.

Speaking on Talksport (Empire of the KOP), former West Ham player and assistant manager Stuart Pierce urged his former club to enter Elliott’s bid.

“When Klopp left, he said: ‘I should have played Harvey Elliott a little more.’ That was one of the statements he made. He identified his talent and identified him not playing him well. He hasn’t played again.

A problem you may run into if West Ham goes to Elliot is his asking price. Liverpool is believed to be asking for £50 million from a club that wants to sign the 22 year old this summer.

Elliott is still unclear where this will end with the closure of his second transfer window this summer in September. West Ham might be a good option, but unless there’s a massive sale or two at London Stadium, that might not be realistic.
