Sosar filed a petition on early June 6th disputing the legality of arrests by the Central Crime Division. He also argued that police actions were ordered due to political influence.
Previously, Siddharamaiah had argued that the RCB celebration event was not his idea. The CM claimed that he only gave the go after being asked by the Prime Minister, and police agreed. He emphasized that it was an event organized by the KSCA and invited him as they invited the governor, so he simply took part in their event.

Siddharamaiah said, “The letter never reached me. The DPR department gave permission. I was informed and said, ‘I have moved on’, but I have not directed it to be held in front of Vidana Suda.
Previously, Bengaluru police reportedly proposed setting the celebration on Sunday, but sources revealed that the government retained the RCB’s glow the day after the IPL victory on June 4th, leading to chaos in which 11 people were killed and several injured.
