Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts made another positive update to pitcher’s shoes, Hei ohtani, following three inning simulation games at Petco Park on Tuesday.
Roberts and pitching coach Mark Pryor were extremely impressed with Otani, who pitched 44 pitches and produced 15 whims and six strikeouts against the minor leaguers.

Roberts even said that there is a chance that Ohatani will return before the All-Star break “North of Zero,” according to athletics’ Fabian Aldaya.
Otani is now surgening pretty quickly, offering optimism on his return timeline. The will want to strengthen him up to at least five innings before considering bringing him back. But at this rate he could be ready to return by the beginning of July.
The say that even the rash of pitcher’s injury doesn’t rush Otani back. Nevertheless, if Otani is ready to go, the team won’t prevent him from returning to a rotation where he desperately needs help.
Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow and Saga Roki are all members of the first day rotation, which is currently shelved on the injured list. Tony Gonsorin has also returned to IL with an elbow injury, with the giving three healthy starters, Yoshinob Yoshinob, Dustin May and Clayton Kershaw. Justin Wrobleski and Matt Sauer seem to be filling in for now.
After a bad weather/day game in St. Louis, this week’s outing was pushed back on Tuesday and then Otani hit the pitch on Sunday, so we still don’t know when Otani pitches next.
It makes sense that Otani’s next slow session will be early next week during the team’s series with the Padres at Stadium.
