According to Athletic, Manchester City has fully agreed with Norwegian club Rosenborg to move highly rated teen midfielder Svere Nipan.
The Premier League champion is expected to pay a 18-year-old £12.5 million fee and will not have any additional provisions such as performance bonuses, contingencies or future selling percentages included in the transaction.
This move is an important step in the city’s ongoing strategy of investing in the young talent of elites across Europe.
Nypan, who was on the radar of several top clubs for his impressive performances with Elitrien and Norwegian youth teams, is currently on the verge of completing his dream move to Etihad Stadium.

Man City Premier League rival Arsenal was interested in the NYPAN move and at one stage seemed like an outstanding favorite to sign him, but Pep Guardiola’s side showed their intentions to the transfer market by winning the race to sign Norway again.
Consultations are currently underway over individual terms, and the parties reportedly believe that a long-term agreement will soon be achieved.
NYPAN is expected to sign an agreement that will run until June 2030. This reflects the city’s belief in the possibility that it will become a first-team regular in the coming years.
Nypan has rapidly increased Rosenborg’s rank. He made his club’s senior debut at just 16 years old and later became a key figure in the midfield setup.
