pitching coach Mark Mark Poillot recently spoke with reporters, touching on a handful of injured pitchers, and Sasaki came out. The young Japanese starlet began to throw lightly. That being said, Sasaki has not yet exceeded the preliminary catch period.
“We don’t often report on roki,” Prior said. “Now I think we have to take him to a position where he feels confident in his ability to throw baseball.
“I don’t really report much. He’s throwing, he’s still a light catch and there’s no work left to do anything other than a light catch right now. …He’s not in the point where he can put enough strength to drive his progress forward.
