Former Chelsea star Claude Makelele praised Moises Kayseko for his performance last season.
The 23-year-old stands out for Chelsea in all competitions, and Makerele thinks he has made his defensive midfield role his own.
The former French international revolutionized the role of a defensive midfield with his trusty performance over the years, and that role is widely known as the “role of Makerele” in football today. However, he feels that it should now be known as the “role of Kayseko.”

“In my time, I was happy to see Rodri win the Baron de Orle because in my time there was no focus on this kind of midfielder, which was always about strikers and wingers, and by no means a midfielder.
“Along with Kaiseko, I love this boy. He’s humble and hardworking. I spoke to him before he arrived at Chelsea. He said I was his example. I’m a good player so I’m sure he can succeed at Chelsea.”

The praise from the French midfielder is a great boost for him, as Ecuador International considers Makerele as his role model.
Chelsea will be pleased with the way he has played over the past 12 months after paying £100 million to sign him from Brighton when Mauricio Pockettino was in charge. He is still quite young and only improves with coaching and experience. CAICEDO has all the tools to develop into a top-class player with the right guidance. If he can achieve his world-class potential, he will justify his investment in him.
Chelsea will be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season, requiring Kaiseko when they fight against elite attackers in European tournaments. He is trying to improve further based on his performance from last season. He is extremely important to their hopes of winning major trophies in the upcoming seasons.
