The Orlando Magic is taking it a step further in its quest to win the NBA championship after a massive hit trade with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Orlando Magic, who wins Desmond Bane, is considered a good move, but some people argue that the team may be overpaid for the Ex-Memphis Grizzlies star.
After all, the magic parted ways with Kentavius Caldwell Pope, Cole Anthony, four first-round picks, and a pixwap.
Speaking of Caldwell Pope, it’s amazing that magic traded him for the Grizzlies as the veteran guard recently revealed his dream of winning the Orlando title.
Caldwell-Pope appeared on Dwight Howard’s podcast on top of the rim with DH12 and DH12. During the episode, KCP revealed the reasons behind joining magic.
The veteran security guard said, “I want to take it to Orlando, and that’s why I came to this team.”
The KCP believes in the roster and praises it for being “really good” despite being young.
“The young people we have, they’re really good. That’s what I’m telling them all the time.
At the time, Caldwell Pope was the second oldest player on the team. Obviously, the team could have used a leader like him during the championship run.
However, it appears that the magic didn’t see the future of Orlando’s KCP. Because he was dealt with the Western Conference.
As a two-time NBA champion, Caldwell-Pope knows one or two things about instilling a winning culture in his team.
Despite not wishing that the magic would not be on the roster, Howard still believes KCP is an elite player and is an important piece for the Grizzlies to build a roster, including the Championship.
“The KCP said he wanted to take one to Orlando.
While Howard has immense trust in the 32-year-old to win the ring in Memphis, the Grizzlies appear to be heading for a rebuild.
After all, rumors suggest that following Bane’s trade, the Grizzlies are likely to be another way for stars Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. to start from scratch.
