Los Angeles left-handed Clayton Kershaw made a heartwarming announcement on Father’s Day.

On the ESPN game broadcast, the three Cy Young winners announced that he and his wife, Ellen, are expecting a fifth child, a baby girl.
“We’ve revealed our gender today,” Kershaw said. “We came in fifth place. So we had another girl. We took the bookend girl with three boys. Today was a very special Father’s Day for us.”
The disruptive news of the Carshow came in the middle of the ‘ series finale against the Division’s rivals, San Francisco Giants, who won Gold Glove’s third base hand Rafael Dever within an hour of the first pitch.
It was a rather confusing day at Stadium on Sunday. In addition to the Kershaw announcement and The Devers Trade, the announced that Shohei Ohtani will be the starting pitcher for Monday’s game against the San Diego Padres.
According to manager Dave Roberts, Otani will serve as the ‘ opener and is expected to pitch one inning.
Otani’s arrival is certainly exciting for the depleted rotation, featuring three healthy starters, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Dustin May and Kershaw.
Kershaw was away from his best performance, where he threw seven scoreless innings against the Giants. An 81-pitch outing from the veteran southpaw helped the secure an 11-5 victory in San Francisco on Saturday.
The next day, Kershaw made a sweet announcement about a new addition to his family.
