Brad Katona, the first and perhaps two winners of the Ultimate Fighter, has been released by the UFC after two consecutive wins in the promotion.

UFC officials confirmed their release to MMA Fighting on Tuesday. UFC Roster Watch defeated the news.

Katona, 33, first landed in the UFC after competing in the 27th season of the reality show, where she competed in featherweight, winning a contract with Bryce Mitchell and Kyler Phillips.

Unfortunately, Katona went 1-2 in the next three fights before leaving the UFC.

He was eventually invited back to Ultimate Fighter 31 after putting together a four-game winning streak outside the UFC.

Katona was once again 2-0, then a decision victory over Cody Gibson, becoming the first two-time ultimate fighter champion in history. He got on track with a victory over Jesse Butler after making a decision for Garrett Armfield in the next fight.

Unfortunately, Katona later went on to experience two more losses at UFC 315, including a 64-second knockout loss to Bekzat Almakhan.

Now Katona needs a new fight home after the UFC breaks up with him.
